What is House of Blessings?
House of Blessings (HOB) is a children's home located in rural Chiang Mai, Thailand. The non-profit organization is Christ-centered and seeks to take care of village children nearby whose parents or guardians are unable to take care of them or their situation is considered risky.
StorieS
HOB has touched the lives of many children in Chiang Mai. Here are some of their stories.
Lotus
Lotus was living with his grandma and sister in a village. However, he was at risk of being used as a drug mule and being drawn into gangs in his area.
Pam and zaza
Pam and Zaza, when they were 6 and 3 respectively, lived with their father, who was a drug addict. Their mom had run away. Their dad often neglected them, leaving them at home for days at a time. He'd also bring friends home to do drugs.
It was not safe for Pam and Zaza. When the local church noticed this, they were worried that the girls would be trafficked or traded for drugs, so they contacted HOB. The girls have been there ever since!
Tey
Tey's mom was a prostitute in one of Chiang Mai's red light districts. She continued working after giving birth to Tey, even bring the baby into the environment. Tey would've followed the same fate if missionaries hadn't taken her from her mom's hands and brought baby Tey to HOB.
She is currently residing at HOB!
